B.Sc.(NURSING) DEGREE PROGRAMME

B.Sc (NURSING) PROGRAMME IS OFFERED AT THE FOLLOWING CONSTITUENT COLLEGES:

• Vinayaka Mission’s Annapoorana College of Nursing, Salem
• Vinayaka Mission’s College of Nursing, Puducherry
• Vinayaka Mission’s College of Nursing, Karaikal, U.T. of Puducherry

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

• Candidate who has passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) or its equivalent with science subjects and has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany & Zoology taken together and passed in English individually.
• English should be a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme.
• In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in three core subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology shall be 40% and should have passed in English individually
• Candidates who are appearing for HSC (+2) or its equivalent examination in March / April 2024 are also eligible to appear for the entrance examination.
• Candidates belonging to any State/ Union Territory of India only are eligible

AGE LIMIT:

• Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2024 of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.

FEE STRUCTURE:

ONLINE FILLING OF APPLICATION FORM:

• Application forms are available online only. It should be filled up carefully by the candidates with complete details and submitted online along with scanned copy of Mark Sheet(s), photograph & signature as attachments
• The Registration fee of Rs.1,000/-(Rupees One Thousand only) paid while submitting online application, will not be refunded under any circumstances
• During online registration, those Candidates, who are not uploaded the H.Sc (10+2) Mark Sheet(s), should submit a photocopy of the H.Sc (10+2) Mark Sheet(s) on or before 25.05.2024 either in person or by email : vmrfdu.2023admissions@gmail.com or by Courier.
• If any candidate does not submit a copy of the H.Sc (10+2) Mark Sheet(s) to the University his / her ranking will be fixed as specified in this prospectus.
• All Entrance Examination related communications like (Hall Ticket, Entrance Examination Results and Counseling Intimation letter etc.,) will be sent through Application Portal only. Hence the candidates are advised to keep their application number for their future reference. No separate communication will be sent to any individual e-mail or SMS.

HALL TICKET:

• Entrance Examination Hall Ticket can be downloaded by all eligible candidates from the Entrance Examination Portal of this University.
• HALL TICKET MUST BE PRODUCED BY THE CANDIDATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CENTRE WITHOUT FAIL. NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO WRITE THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION WITHOUT THE HALL TICKET.
• Mere acceptance of a person as a candidate for writing the Entrance Examination shall not confer on him/her any right / eligibility for admission. The candidate who does not satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria shall not be considered for admission.
• Candidates will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any prohibited materials such as Pen, Pencil, Calculator, Mobile Phone or any other Electronic Devices that are likely to be of unfair assistance inside the examination hall. The Pen, Pencil and eraser will be provided to the candidates at the examination hall.
• Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till completion of the first one hour duration.
• Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their papers only. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall will be deemed as misbehavior. If any candidate is found to be misbehaving or using unfair means or resorting to impersonation, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred from taking any Entrance Examination of the Deemed to be University.
• All candidates appearing for the All India Entrance Examination shall be required to sign an attendance.
• The OMR answer sheet of the candidate should be handed over to the invigilator along with the question booklet. If any candidate fails to do so, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CENTRE:

• The All India Entrance Examination will be conducted at SALEM, PUDUCHERRY & KARAIKAL. Venue will be intimated in the Hall ticket. The candidates have to appear for the Entrance Examination at their own expenses.

DURATION OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND QUESTION PATTERN:

• The All India Entrance Examination will be conducted in ENGLISH only. The question booklet will consist of 100 multiple choice questions (single best response) The MCQ will cover the subjects as given below :-

• Maximum marks will be 100 and the duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
• All questions must be answered and they carry equal marks. There will be no negative mark for wrong answers. Correct answer must be shaded with Pencil in the OMR Answer Sheet supplied along with the question booklet.
• Syllabus: The Entrance Examination will be based on the H.Sc (10+2) syllabus followed by major H.Sc (10+2) Boards.
• The candidates are advised to be at the Examination Centre an hour before the commencement of the Examination

MODE OF SELECTION

• Selection will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination. Intimation letter will be sent by e-mail to the candidates provisionally selected for admission. College allotment will be made through counseling in the order of merit.
• In case of candidates who secure the same marks in the Entrance Examination, ranking will be made based on their academic performance in the qualifying examination prescribed for admission.
• In order to facilitate the above ranking process, candidates should upload their copy of HSC (10+2) Mark Sheet(s) on or before 25.05.2024 or submit to the university office in person or by email or by Courier, failing which they will lose rank position in the rank list as indicated in sub clause (b) above.
• Results will be published in the Notice Board of the University and also in the website www.vmrfdu.edu.in

• Certificate of qualifying examination (including all mark sheets).
• Conduct and Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
• Birth Certificate / 10th Mark Sheet
• Community Certificate
• Migration Certificate ( if applicable)
• Copy of Aadhaar Card of the Candidate
• Copy of Aadhaar Card of the Parents

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission in addition to the above documents.

• Physical Fitness Certificate
• Recent Passport size color photos - 9 Nos

ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES

• Ragging is strictly prohibited in Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) campuses strictly enforces anti-ragging measures and the campus is free from any form of ragging. Any violation will be dealt with according to law in force and as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

IMPORTANT NOTE

• All admissions are subject to fulfillment of all the prescribed eligibility conditions by the candidate. If it is found either at the time of admission or at a later stage, that the candidate has given false information / forged certificates or concealed material information, his / her admission shall be cancelled and the student shall be dismissed from the college immediately.
• The VMRF (Deemed to be University) reserves the right to change the curriculum, course structure and the rules relating to admission, examinations, fee structure, refunds, etc.
• All disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the provisions in this prospectus will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of this University and the Vice-Chancellor’s decision shall be final and binding.
• In respect of matters relating to or arising out of this prospectus the jurisdiction shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of Salem only.
